Salmon & avocado pizza

Salmon and avocado pizza
4 servings

Ingredients
1 amount for basic pizza dough (see basic pizza dough)
200 grams of drained fresh cheese
2 tablespoons of fresh dill
or 1 teaspoon of dry dill
1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
or ½ a teaspoon of dry thyme
1 teaspoon of finely grated lemon peel
250 grams of smoke salmon, sliced
1 pealed avocado, without the seed and sliced
1 tablespoon of drained capers
125 grams of small (miniature) tomatoes cut in half

Preparation

  1. Prepare the pizza dough as explained in the recipe. Form a disk of 30 cm. Place on a greased pan and spread the tomato paste or sauce and put on the side.
  2. Put the fresh cheese, the dill and thymes in a cup and mix well. Spread this mix over the pizza dough and bake for 15 minutes
  3. Cover the pizza with the smoked salmon, avocado slices, capers and tomatoes. Lower the oven heat to 180C and bake for 10 more minutes or until the pizza is golden and the spread is hot.

Note
Oven temperature 200C
In Italy homemade pizzas are made using the pasta for tarts or biscuits, instead of the normal white flour dough. You might want to tryout some of them. Other easy pizzas can be made out of Arab bread, hamburger buns or even whole wheat bread. Of course the time of base you use for your pizza will effect the cooking time.
