Gardener pizza 4 servings
Ingredients 1 pizza base (see basic pizza dough)
Gardener covering 250 grams of asparagus tips in 4 cm pieces 125 grams of zucchini, sliced 3 young onions, minced 155 grams of broccoli stems 125 grams of soft peas 2 tablespoons of fresh basil, minced or one teaspoon of dry basil 60 grams of melt cheese (manchengo, mozzarella), grated 60 grams of parmesan cheese, grated freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
- Prepare the pizza like explained in the recipe and form a disk of 30 cm. Place on a greased pan.
- Place the asparagus, broccoli, peas and basil over the pizza base. Sprinkle with the cheeses and black pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the base is cooked and the cheese golden.
Note Oven temperature 200C Remember pizzas mustn’t always be big and round; some are rectangular, oval squared or small personal pizzas. The most common form a sort of ‘fence” around the dough, similar to a tart (which is exactly what it means in Italian). So make them any way you want.
